| There no guarantee that the article, announcement or photograph you are looking for will actually be found. The only guarantee I can give is that I will endeavour to find what you want using my experience and knowledge. I will keep you informed of progress by e-mail or post, although post will incur additional expenses. |

| My commitment is to undertake the research as economically as possible. To use my knowledge and the facilities available to me to discover what you require. Once I have evaluated your requirements I will inform you what research I plan to undertake and the cost. I will keep you informed of my research and appraised of the costs. I will never exceed the agreed amount. |

| Your commitment will be to pay the agreed amount once the work has been done. |

| My Time |
| If the research is undertaken at the Newspaper Library at Colindale then I will only charge for the time I spend researching. Research at other offices, such as the British Library and the Public Records Office will including travelling time. |

| My Charges |
| For standard research my charge is £10 per hour. The charge for other work as part of the research will be agreed as necessary. My minimum period is 2 hours. I will always confirm the cost with you |

| My Expenses |
| I charge expenses at cost. These will include obtaining photocopies of the newspapers, postage and packing, and train fares. I will keep you informed of any such costs as they arise. Colindale charge 70p for an A3 copy from microfilm and £1 for a copy from an original. Higher quality copies are available at additional cost. |

| Payment |
| Payment will be in Sterling. I can accept Sterling Cheques or Money Orders, or via PayPal or BidPay. The method of payment will be agreed at the start of the research. |
